Rotary International Club
The Rotary Club of Summerville Evening Charitable Foundation, Inc. aims to assist in literacy, hunger, housing, health, wellbeing and so much more.
The goal of the Rotary Club is to make our local community, our country and our world a better place. Through programs such as Happy Feet (where the Rotary Clubs help underprivileged children obtain shoes that they select), Backpack Buddies, (where the Rotary Club ensures children have food at home while away from school) and local college scholarships.
The Rotary Club is having an impact and touching lives every single day.
Funding for these programs comes from many different channels, however the biggest sources are the annual fundraising events.
The Fall Oktoberfest event is the organization’s signature event and provides a large portion of the revenue for our Foundation. The 2021 Oktoberfest event is scheduled for October 2nd in Hutchinson Square, located in historic downtown Summerville.

Art on The Beach
Sullivan's Island, SC
Art on the Beach is a dynamic tour of homes on Sullivans Island, held annually on the second Sunday in November. Tickets are required to enjoy this self guided tour from 1:00-5:00pm. Ticket holders may begin their journey at any home – a map will be provided the week of the event. Patrons are encouraged to hop from home to home exploring a well curated gallery of artists in each location. Materials range from fine art to found art, including jewelers and small batch craft makers. Sample cuisine from local chefs along the tour. All proceeds from this event will benefit Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services, a non-profit organization that provides free civil legal services to hundreds of low-income individuals and families in our community each year.

Welcome to one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences you can be a part of during middle school: THE BAND! Now more than ever, there is research and information to justify why we do this demanding yet rewarding activity. Fine arts students continue to score significantly higher than their counterparts on everything from SAT scores to spatial reasoning skills. The ultimate goal, however, is a lifelong understanding and appreciation for quality music and music making.

The East Cooper Warhawks Youth Football club participates
in the South Carolina Youth Football Association (SCYFA) Division 1.
The top 6U-12U (K-7th grade) tackle football league in South Carolina.
It is a competitive program where players learn and develop
the fundamentals of tackle football, Teamwork, Sportsmanship
and Leadership in a supervised, safe and faith based environment.
This is our 3rd season and we are proud of our accomplishments
of becoming one of the premier programs,
with teams making the playoffs every year!
The Bands of Wando
Mount Pleasant, SC
Wando High School has one of the most comprehensive band programs in South Carolina.
Over two hundred fifty students participate in three concert bands, chamber winds, percussion ensemble classes
marching band, three jazz bands, and various chamber ensembles.
The marching band regularly performs at the Bands of America Regional and Super Regional competitions in various locations. These include Atlanta in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, & 2017, as well as Orlando in 2019 and Jacksonville Alabama in 2021.
In 2021, Wando High School won the Bands of America Jacksonville Alabama Regional competition, and in 2018, Wando won the BOA Georgia Regional & South Carolina Regional.
In 2011, the marching performed at BOA Grand Nationals in Indianapolis, reaching the final 12 out of 95 bands.
In 2014, they returned to BOA Grand Nationals and placed 7th overall. In 2016, Wando Band placed 8th overall at BOA Grand Nationals.
In 2019, Wando Band placed 6th in BOA Grand Nationals with their highest score & highest placement to date at Grand Nationals.
In 2021, following a gap year due to COVID restrictions, Wando returned to the Grand Nationals competition
and placed 13 out of over 100 national bands.

State Championship
Wando Bands has been named South Carolina State 5A Champions every year that they have competed from 2003-2022, for a total of 14 consecutive State Championships.
